The Name

The company drew its inspiration and name from the Rotem bush flourishing throughout the Negev Desert in southern Israel. For thousands of years the shrub has proved to be a precious resource of fuel in a landscape where wood is scarce. The bush’s dry sticks drop off during the long, hot summer months. They kindle quickly and burn slowly, emitting far more heat than one would assume. Its embers last longer than ordinary kindling and remain alive for hours among the ash, capable of being revived with the slightest effort. One cannot think of a more appropriate name for a company that prides itself on imagination, practicality, quick wittedness and reliability, at one and the same time.
