Dimona municipality has decided to collaborate with Milgam-Solar in the establishment of solar installations (PV) on top of 50 roofs of public buildings in the city, according to the tender that was published at the end of 2009. The project's potential capacity is 2.5 megawatts of solar power and its estimated construction cost is 50 million NIS.

 

Milgam-Solar is a joint company established by SolarPower and Milgam companies in mid 2009. The joint company main business is targeted towards the public & municipal bodies, focusing on establishing solar systems for those.

 

This joint Dimona-Rotem initiative is a part of the continuous efforts of both parties in strengthening the Negev region and their "green" vision. Due to the success in past projects made by Dimona-Rotem, several additional projects are being examined those days.
